About
This American Summer is an independent summer project of Alexander Guerra, David Sheets, and Danbee Kim. Alex, David, and Danbee devised the project in January and February 2008 at MIT in cold, dark Boston. What started as a daydream of a summer-long roadtrip around the United States talking to people is now a reality.
For 72 days, the intrepid team will travel over 19,000 miles around the United States and post regular video, photo, and written journal entries. The world can follow along with Alex, David, and Danbee online as they travel, explore, and talk. By using the latest in consumer electronics, mobile internet access, and web software, This American Summer is pushing the limits of user-created media.
